Mary Raap is an artist who works at the intersection of painting and weaving. She earned an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art, later garnering a post-graduate fellowship and residency at the Academy. Her work has been exhibited in group shows nationally and abroad including at The Knockdown Center (Queens), Stolen Space Gallery (London), Trestle Gallery (Brooklyn), Museo de la Cuidad de Mexico (Mexico City), The Art House (Chicago), and Hunter College’s Times Square Gallery. She was recently a finalist for the Hopper Prize and featured in the Hopper Prize Journal. Mary lives and works in Brooklyn.
